O Seminário Internacional de História Indo-Portuguesa (SIHIP) teve a sua primeira edição em Goa, em novembro de 1978. O seminário foi considerado um grande sucesso, pois impulsionou a investigação sobre as diferentes abordagens à história indo-portuguesa. Passados mais de 40 anos, este Seminário marca pela renovação metodológica e historiográfica, bem como, pela emergência de novas temáticas por investigar.

The International Seminar on Indo-Portuguese History (ISIPH) had its first edition in Goa in November 1978. The seminar was considered a great success, as it boosted research into the different approaches to Indo-Portuguese history. More than 40 years on, this seminar has been recognised for its methodological and historiographical renewal, as well as for the emergence of new themes to be investigated.
